My Class of 2008

One of the best things about the age of technology in which we live is digital photography. I got my first digital camera more than five years ago (a lowly 3 mps) and have not stopped snapping pictures since. I upgraded to a four mps (when a trip to the beach fried my other camera) and now use a 12. (Ooooh, touch this!!!) With my class of 2007-2008 I took over 480 pictures. The great thing is that if they don't come out, who cares? Delete and try again!

I love looking back on my "babies" to see how they've grown and changed throughout the year. At Open House I take pictures of each new student--this gives me a chance to speak with them for a moment and welcome them to my class as well as provides photos for different projects. By the time we "graduate", we have a wonderful collection of memories. The children never get tired of seeing themselves or their classmates.

My latest discovery is Smilebox, a digital scrapbooking website that allows you to make slideshows, e-cards, photobooks...I love it! Yes, it can be time consuming, but I think the results are well worth it.

Here you'll find my precious class of 2008, from day zero to day 180. We laughed, we cried (it is Kindergarten, after all) and we learned so much together. My life has been forever changed by these 19 little people. Enjoy!

I hope that your job search ends soon because I know that any school will surely have found a true blessing to have such a wonderful teacher who impacts childrens lives. Not only do you touch the childrens lives you leave a rewarding experience with the parents also, I thank you for that and thank you for being a wonderful teacher and for just being who you are and for loving and caring for my mikey, it was something that shown on your and his face when he was in your class!!
